Symptoms of STDs

The following are symptoms listed for the most common STDs. If you have any of these symptoms of STDs seek advice and testing from medical professionals. You can get confidential std testing at GetSTDtested.com

Chlamydia- With this STD men show symptoms much more often than women but it is possible that no symptoms could be experienced from either sex. The most common symptoms include blood from the vagina when you are not having a period. Irritation in the genital area, pelvic pain, pain or burning during urination, or a discharge from the penis or vagina are other common symptoms.

Gonorrhea- Many times there are initially no symptoms showing for men and women who have gonorrhea. The people who experience symptoms usually have them appear 2-10 days after they are infected. The symptoms include a discharge from the vagina or penis, pain during intercourse, pelvic pain, irritation in the genital area or pain/burning during urination.

HIV- Commonly, many people who have HIV don’t show symptoms for 10 years or longer. In the cases where symptoms appear they include recurring & severe yeast infections, flu like symptoms which include night sweats or fever, diarrhea, headaches. The person who has HIV may experience unexplained weight loss, fatigue or mental disorders.

Syphilis- The primary or first stages of syphilis start with a sore (chancre) on the mouth or genitals several weeks after exposure. This sore can last anywhere from a week to over a month. The second stage symptoms of syphilis after the sore disappears include rashes on the hands, soles of the feet, or the genital areas.

Herpes- Symptoms of herpes include blisters and sores in the genital area, and on the lips or tongue. If you have herpes you also may experience burning pain during urination. The first outbreak of herpes may include flu-like symptoms such as headaches, fever or swollen glands. The first outbreak is usually the most severe.

Hepatitis – Since Hepatitis is a viral infection that affects the liver there are some symptoms that are much different from other STDs. These include very dark urine, yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes. Other symptoms of hepatitis are abdominal pain, nausea/vomiting, or loss of appetite. Again, just like the other STDs sufferers of Hepatitis may not experience any symptoms or may experience all of the symptoms.

Again, if you experience these symptoms of STDs you may not have an STD but if you have frequent sexual activity especially with multiple partners you should be tested. Contact GetSTDtested.com for the most confitdential STD testing available.
